TENDER PROCESS
On 31st May 2023, Suburban Land Agency (SLA) released the site to the market through a competitive tender process, which closed on 27 July 2023. Interested developers were required to submit a concept design that directly addressed the Phillip Section 7 Place Design Brief. Key design obligations included residential dwellings, affordable and community housing, car parking, open space, green rooftops, and innovative sustainability solutions. Compliant tenders were assessed against a weighted assessment criteria, with the preferred tenderer invited to negotiate with the SLA.
SUCCESSFUL TENDERER
SLA announced the Hellenic Club as the successful proponent for the development of Woden Village. Sale contracts for the site were exchanged in August 2024, with construction anticipated to begin in the second half of 2026, following the necessary statutory approvals.
